How to Set Up Dynamic Pricing
Get started in under 2 minutes from your event dashboard
Open the Pricing Tab
Navigate to your event in the dashboard and select the Pricing tab. You'll see a Dynamic Pricing toggle at the top of the ticket tier settings.
Toggle On Dynamic Pricing
Enable the toggle for any ticket tier you want to use dynamic pricing on. You can enable it on some tiers while keeping others at a fixed price.
Set Your Range
Choose how far prices may rise above and dip below your base price using the two sliders. Dynamic pricing never leaves that range — you always control the boundaries, and setting the decrease to 0% means prices never drop.
Choose Your Pricing Style
Select Conservative, Balanced, or Aggressive to control how quickly prices respond to demand. Balanced is recommended for most events.
- Start with Balanced for your first event — it works well for most audience types and gives you a feel for how demand responds.
- Set your ceiling at 1.5–2× your base price. This gives the algorithm room to optimize without shocking latecomers.
- Enable urgency messaging to nudge fence-sitters. A subtle "Price increased $5 since yesterday" converts browsers into buyers.
- Review analytics after each event to refine your floor, ceiling, and style for next time. The Pricing Analytics tab shows exactly how the algorithm performed.

Troubleshooting & Edge Cases
Common questions when things don't behave as expected
Price isn't changing
Dynamic pricing responds to conversion — how many page visitors actually buy. It needs a meaningful traffic signal before acting (roughly 50 event-page views in the last two days), adjusts at most once per day, and holds steady whenever conversion sits in the healthy middle range.
I want to lower the price mid-sale
Dynamic pricing moves both ways within your range — when conversion is low it steps the price down toward your floor automatically. Need to go below the floor? Disable dynamic pricing for the event, set the new price manually, then re-enable it with a new range.
Multi-day or multi-tier events
Price adjustments apply proportionally across all paid tiers — a 10% move raises (or lowers) General Admission and VIP by the same percentage, so your tier spread stays intact. Free tiers and add-ons are never adjusted. Separate events (like each day of a festival listed individually) each track their own demand.
Free or donation-based tickets
Dynamic pricing only applies to paid, fixed-price tiers. Free tickets, donation tiers, and sliding-scale options are unaffected. Use the separate Donations & Sliding Scale feature for those.
